| Childhood: As a child, Chase was always interested in the darker side of famous stories. What made the Wicked Witch so wicked? Why did Cinderella's step-sisters hate her? And why would someone want to turn a prince into a frog? Her thirst to uncover why people behave in certain manners and where their breaking points are, is still one of her main motivations as an adult. Family: Chase is the only daughter of Walter and Mary Meridian. She was born and raised in Metropolis by two very prominent doctors. Walter is Chief of Staff at Metropolis General Hospital and Mary is their Head Internist. The Meridians are also life-time members of Metropolis' upper crust. Though both are proud of their daughter's accomplishments, neither can understand why she would want to move to a place like Gotham with all its crime and unsavory atmosphere. Both would love nothing more than to have Chase move back to Metropolis "where she belongs." Relationships: Chase is hopelessly attracted to the "bad boy" stereotype. Again, she wants to try and discover what makes them so bad. "In grade school, it was guys with earrings. (In) college (it was) motorcycles and leather jackets." Maybe by finding out what makes them so bad, she can ultimately fix them. |
